CHALLENGE
Greenfields Norfolk is a small, family-run producer making preserves and honey in modest batches from ingredients grown, gathered and made close to home. The challenge was to create a brand with enough quality to appeal to farm shops and specialist retailers, while retaining the warmth and authenticity of a local producer – without falling into predictable rustic food branding.
IDEA
Naturally distinctive
We created a brand that felt premium without becoming precious, drawing on the heritage and character of traditional food production while giving it a cleaner, more considered expression.
STRATEGY
I worked closely with founders Melissa and Matt to uncover the story and personality behind the brand, translating their genuinely local approach into a
flexible visual identity.
A distinctive typographic logo formed the foundation, supported by a roundel, monogram and stacked versions. Botanical details and bespoke bee illustrations connected the identity to the ingredients, while a restrained green and cream palette created a calm, recognisable character.
The system was applied across the initial range of honey and preserves, with flexibility for future products.
IMPACT
The finished identity gives Greenfields Norfolk a distinctive presence in local markets while elevating the brand for independent retailers, farm shops and premium stockists.
Most importantly, it gives a small family business a visual identity that feels genuinely theirs – rooted in Norfolk, confident in its quality and built to grow.
“I can’t put into words how much we love it. Thank you so much for everything – it’s been fantastic
working with you.” – Melissa Cope, Founder
