CHALLENGE
Sika played a critical role in the £1.87 billion regeneration of Battersea Power Station, supplying specialist waterproofing and concrete solutions that underpinned the entire development. The challenge was communicating highly technical engineering expertise through an engaging story that demonstrated Sika's value to customers, partners and the wider construction industry.
IDEA
The most important work is often the least visible.
Rather than focusing on the finished building, we celebrated the expertise behind it – showing how Sika's products and technical knowledge helped make one of Britain's most iconic regeneration projects possible.
STRATEGY
I led the creative direction from concept through to final delivery, developing the narrative, writing the script, storyboard and production approach. I managed presenter casting, on-site filming and art direction to create a documentary-style case study that balanced technical credibility with engaging storytelling.
To make complex engineering accessible, we combined cinematic footage with bespoke motion graphics and animated illustrations, translating technical systems, statistics and construction processes into clear visual narratives. The result was a film that communicated not just what Sika supplied, but why its expertise mattered.
IMPACT
The finished film became a flagship marketing asset, used across Sika's website, social channels and wider marketing activity. By making complex engineering clear and compelling, it reinforced Sika's position as a trusted partner on some of the UK's most ambitious construction projects.
